Tako du Murier de Sordeille

NHAT NHATO COT4

LOF 170640/21513 | Cotation: 4 — Recommandé

HD-A | ED-0 | Cardiac Echo: Normal

Tako is defined first by his character: stable, confident, and rock solid, a dog who takes in the world without ever being rattled by it. Born to work and devoted to his people, Tako is the kind of dog who will make you laugh one minute and stand unmovably between you and the world the next. He is fiercely protective of his family and the children in his life, yet endlessly curious, playful, and genuinely sweet: a dog who takes his job seriously without ever losing his warmth. This is exactly the temperament we look for: stable, strong-nerved, confident dogs capable of real work and a joy to live with.

He stands around 26.5 inches and 95 pounds, moderate and correct, he is agile and athletic. His clean front assembly and strong rear angulation are an excellent structural complement to Salem, whose powerful rear we'd like to balance with the hope of producing pups with correct angulation and structure. His health clearances are clean: HD-A hips, ED-0 elbows, and a normal echocardiogram. He's currently training in Recherche Utilitaire (RU), a French tracking discipline, alongside search and rescue work. He has medium food drive, high prey (we're excited to pair his prey drive with Salem's) while having low handler sensitivity, taking correction in stride without shutting down. He truly is a product of thoughtful breeding and his pedigree carries that working capability through generations.

We are incredibly grateful to Tako's owner, Vince Mode, and breeder, Guy Bonnefoy, for making this pairing possible. From coordinating across time zones to opening their doors to us in France, none of this happens without their generosity, patience, and willingness.

Pedigree Highlights

Line Breeding on F'karma du Manoir des Gandines

Tako comes from Guy Bonnefoy's du Murier de Sordeille in France, the same kennel behind Salem's sire Orin and her grandsire Jaeger, a program we know and trust. This pairing is a deliberate linebreeding on F'karma du Manoir des Gandines, a Ring 3 dog famous for strong worker with natural full grips and compression, yet social, stable, and strong-nerved at home. F'karma appears on both sides: through My Way (Tako's dam) and through Jaeger (Salem's side, via Orin). My Way herself carries strong working drive and her own sire, Djouba, was also a strong Ring 3 dog. Rounding out Tako's pedigree are renowned names like Jhetro an all around dog, in the show ring and holding his brevet (via Obi-Wan); and Drack who was cross titled in Règlement de Concours International (old IPO) achieving RCI 3 and a brevet (via Lacoca). Both well-known, respected dogs who further complement this pairing. F'karma's influence on the breed extends well beyond his own accomplishments, he was a known producer further cementing his legacy.

What We hope to produce

We chose Tako because we know these lines and believe in what they produce. By doubling down on du Murier de Sordeille and F'karma, we're concentrating a proven working foundation. We expect puppies with high drives, stable and strong-nerved temperaments, correct moderate structure, and clean health: dogs built for bite work, detection, herding, sport, or simply being an exceptional partner.
