Her achievements include becoming the first female Beauceron to earn a PSA PDC, the first Beauceron to achieve the Police Dog 1 title, and earning top honors for both temperament and breed type, including multiple 9-9-9 temperament evaluations and Excellent Plus ratings at the Beauceron Association Journée.
Salem is proof that a serious working dog doesn't have to be serious all the time. She's incredibly intelligent and biddable, always tuned in to her handler and genuinely eager to please, which makes training a creative, rewarding process rather than a battle of wills. While intense when in drive, off duty she's goofy, affectionate, and bonds deeply with her people, the kind of dog who settles in wherever she goes, whether that's a restaurant patio, a backcountry campsite, or a living room full of kids. She has an excellent off switch and a lot of personality, making daily life with her easy and genuinely enjoyable. Confident, stable, and resilient, she's the whole package as a working Beauceron, and the foundation of this program.

Out of the renowned du Murier de Sordeille kennel in France, Jaeger earned his French Championship of Conformation (ChFCS) alongside an impressive working title resume — CSAU, NHAT, NHATO, BPF, and BU a testament to his versatility and the breadth of his ability in both the ring and the field. His health clearances are equally solid: HD-B hips, ED-0 elbows, and a clear cardiac echo.

Health Testing
Responsible breeding in the Beauceron relies on comprehensive health testing to help reduce the risk of inherited conditions and support long-term soundness in the breed. The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) provides standardized evaluations that are commonly used to screen breeding dogs for issues such as hip and elbow dysplasia, cardiac health, and thyroid function.
Ethical breeders typically pursue OFA certification for hips and elbows, along with recommended cardiac exams and eye evaluations, to ensure dogs are structurally and medically sound before being placed in breeding programs. These screenings help maintain the breed’s working ability, longevity, and overall quality of life.
Health testing is not a guarantee against all genetic conditions, but it is a critical tool in making informed breeding decisions and preserving the Beauceron’s strength, stability, and long-term function as both a working and companion breed.
